Jackson Montemayor is a freelance cinematographer based in Los Angeles, California, and Kansas City, Missouri. Passionate about the art of visual storytelling, Jackson specializes in the marriage of light, frame composition, color, and camera movement to craft compelling imagery. With every project, he aims to create cinematic works that evoke emotion and bring stories to life.
Jackson’s recent work “Parker” premiered on the opening night of Sundance Film Festival 2023 and was 1 of 7 shorts to screen in 35 cities across the country with the 2023 Sundance Film Festival Short Film Tour. He also was a contributing cinematographer on the National Geographic film “The Flagmakers”, which won the Emmy for Outstanding Short Documentary and was shortlisted for the Academy Award for best documentary short.
